BUT--self motniro and feel comfortable recusing yourself froma conversation when in the zone.\par \par \par \fs28 DESIGN DOC:\fs20\par You are a bull in a bullfight. \par The perspective is an artistic interpretation of a bull's view: distorted, picasso-esque, abstraction of arena architecture and crowds. \par The bullfighter/s are invisible, except for brief, distorted flashes when he moves. The red cape is VERY visible when it is waved around. \par When the bull charges, the red cape "triples," filling the view with an overlapping blurry impression, making it challenging to know which of the three hides the matador.\par When you are a half-second away, the matador himself comes into view, just in time to see if you hit or missed him. \par If you miss him, he "oles" the cape and stabs you, and the view briefly cuts to a 3rd-person, letterboxed cut scene of you roaring in pain at the stab. You lose hit points, and you begin losing blood which slows you down. If you get hit enough, you stop being able to charge, and the matador approaches you to go for ther kill. You can still turn and up thrust, but not charge. Eventually, enough blood is lost that you can't stand. If the matador gets in a killing stroke, you lose.\par If you hit the matador, the matador gets gored, and loses hit points. If you up-thrust your horns at the right moment, the matador takes more damage. If you kill the matador, you win.\par \par GOAL: gore/kill matador/s, secondary (points) survive as long as possible.\par \par WHAT YOU SEE: \par FPS horns and nose ring (?) linked to camera\par Brief cuts into 3rd person POV for "getting hit" cut scenes (letterbox, view of bull roaring, injured by spears)\par Score/interface is on the arena, and provides landmarks for orientation\par \par Multiple matadors? multiple color outfits and various crowd-adulation movements at the end?\par \par When you lose: stay in your Bull perspective, sideways on the ground, see flowers thrown around you, cheering the matador that has slain you. Fade to black as eyes close in death. Pull away in a 3rd-person POV, to see your corpse in the arena as flowers are thrown and the matador soaks in the adulation?\par \par CONTROLS: \par PC: four buttons: side to side to rotate, hold up to walk and then run/charge. \par Releasing forward slows you to a cantor and eventually a stop. The back button is a hard stop, but if you are going fast you slide significantly--You should feel heavy!\par Space up-thrusts head and horns for goring\par momentum is important: as the bull you turn slowly and stop awkwardly. You main mode is to hurl yourself forward.\par \par ARENA DESIGN: \par Round space, raised seats of multiple rows fileld with abstract, moving crowds.\par obstacles in the arena (barrels, platforms)\par \par AESTHETIC DESIGN: \par Arena is black and white with blue tone (see Guernica by Picasso). \par Matador's cape is very red and defined. \par Matador is a picasso-esque cubist nightmare. \par Bull is a picasso bull (small, somewhat human face)\par \par OTHER IDEAS: \par raining?\par Difficulty settings?\par \par Alternative/mini-Game: \par Rail shooter: run as a bull of pamplona: constantly run between buildings, can move to the right or left, and hit an up-thrust button to attack human runnign in front of you. Avoid obstacles that can trip you (also avoid runnign into buildings). Points for each one you get.\par \par CREDITS:\par include fun facts, like how the matador's performance could inspire the audience to wave white hankerchief, to award the matador ther ears and tail of the bull.\par \par \par \fs28 ASSETS:\fs20\par \par CODE:\par Matador ai: walk around, hide cape, present cape, ole/kill, injury reactions\par Bull ai: when bull is idle for a while, it will look aroudn a bit, look down, stomp feet, snort breath.\par Crowd ai: respond to bull actions (successes/failures in choosing direction and attacking)\par \par SOUND: (go for achievement: only human-made sounds)\par Crowd noises: cheers, fright, \par Bull breathing, snorting, running? \par \par ART: (go for color achievement--less than 16)\par Models/textures:\par \tab bull\par \tab matador\par \tab arena\par \tab crowds\par Animations: \par \tab Bull: running slow and fast, turning, stopping, stomping, sitting, being hurt, being killed (lose), goring the matador, Stomping the ground and shakign head in victory pose?\par \tab Cape: moves that do what the cape needs to do: hiding, teasing, ole.\par \tab Matador: walking, running, ole, killing stroke, being gored/flipped, being killed.
